Description
“Where Is Brooklyn?” is the last of three albums by DON CHERRY for Blue Note. It was written barely two months after the recently re-released “Symphony For Improvisers” in the RVG series. The former companion of Ornette Coleman was accompanied by the eruptive tenor saxophonist Pharoah Sanders, bassist Henry Grimes and drummer Ed Blackwell. The quartet immerses itself almost ecstatically in the five original and finely chiseled original compositions of the legendary jazz and trumpet experimenter.
